You already do the work. You train consistently, eat well, stay on top of your sleep. And somewhere along the way, a friend convinced you to try an IV vitamin infusion — and you walked out feeling noticeably better. Clearer. More energized. Like your body had what it needed. Now you're wondering whether that's repeatable, and whether building it into your routine actually makes sense.
For a lot of people in Coeur d'Alene, it does. This page covers what IV therapy delivers, which drips are worth your time, how our monthly membership model works, and what to expect when you come in. If you've been curious but haven't committed yet, here's the honest version of why our regulars keep coming back.
The short version: An IV infusion delivers fluids, electrolytes, and nutrients directly into your bloodstream, bypassing digestion entirely. For most of our patients — especially active, health-conscious people — the result is a noticeable lift: better hydration, sharper energy, and faster recovery from training, illness, or a rough stretch. Sessions run 30 to 60 minutes.
What IV therapy actually does
When nutrients go into your bloodstream directly, something different happens than what oral supplementation can do.
Absorption is complete and immediate. Oral vitamins and supplements pass through your digestive tract, where how much actually makes it into your system depends on gut health, what else you've eaten, and the form of the nutrient. Often times only 20% of your supplements are absorbed by the gut. What a waste of money!
IV delivery skips all of that. 100% of what's in the bag goes into your bloodstream. It's the only way to get 100% of vitamins, minerals and hydration into your body. Be fast, efficient and impactful with your time.
Hydration is faster and more thorough. This is IV therapy's most well-established benefit — it's why hospitals use IV fluids. Drinking water rehydrates you gradually. An IV drip does it in under an hour. For athletes, people recovering from illness, or anyone who's fallen significantly behind, that speed makes a real difference in how you feel the rest of the day.
Your body gets what it needs without the digestive middle step. Even for people who eat well and train hard, there are gaps. Hard exercise, stress, travel, illness, and dry high-altitude summers all increase demand for fluids and micronutrients. IV therapy is a direct line to address that — not a workaround for a poor diet, but an upgrade to what your body can actually access.
What our members experience
Energy and mental clarity. Our regular patients describe a lift that lasts weeks — a clean, settled sense of having what their body needs. Members who train hard notice it most: better output, less of the dragging fatigue that accumulates between sessions.
Faster recovery from illness. When a stomach bug has kept you from keeping anything down, an IV drip does in one session what would take days of careful oral rehydration to approach. Most patients who come in feeling depleted leave feeling significantly better. The Immune Support IV can prevent illness and offers support during cold and flu season.
Sharper recovery from exertion. Lake season, ski season, Ironman training, golf tournament, or a string of long days — Coeur d'Alene people push their bodies. Members who come in after hard efforts consistently report recovering faster and feeling ready sooner. Try getting an IV infusion before or after your next flight or business trip.
A sense of consistency. This is the argument our monthly members make most often. The lift from a single IV is noticeable. The cumulative effect of regular infusions — staying on top of hydration and micronutrient levels month over month — is what they actually come back for. Members report fewer energy crashes, more consistent performance, and the kind of steady-state wellness that's hard to achieve from supplements alone.
Types of IV drips and what's in them

Renew carries one of the most complete IV menus in the area. Here's a look at every drip we offer, what's in each one, and who it's built for.
Hydration
Ingredients: Mineral blend, B complex, vitamin C.
The foundation. A full bag of sterile fluid with electrolytes and key B vitamins — the baseline everything else builds on. Members who want a reliable reset after travel, hard training, or a run of poor sleep come back to this one. The cleanest starting point if it's your first time.
Original — Myers' Cocktail
Ingredients: Vitamin C, B complex, calcium, magnesium, B12.
The IV that started the whole category. Magnesium, calcium, the full B-vitamin range, and vitamin C together in one bag. Our most popular drip for members who want an all-around monthly wellness infusion — broad-spectrum support that covers the most common micronutrient gaps without requiring you to know exactly where you're deficient.
Note: magnesium delivered IV can cause a brief warm flush — your nurse keeps the pace comfortable.
Immune Support
Ingredients: Mineral blend, B complex, vitamin C, calcium, B12, zinc.
Vitamin C and zinc are two of the most studied nutrients in normal immune function. At IV concentrations, blood levels reach what your digestive tract can't match on its own. Reach for this one heading into cold season, coming off an illness, or any time you want to come in at full strength.
Energy
Ingredients: Mineral blend, B complex, B12, vitamin C, amino acids.
B vitamins are foundational to cellular energy production. B12 in particular — which a meaningful share of adults absorb less efficiently than they realize — is one of the fastest-acting lifts IV therapy offers. Members who describe afternoon crashes or chronic fatigue tend to feel this one clearly.
Diet & Detox
Ingredients: L-Carnitine, B complex, B12, acetylcysteine, alpha lipoic acid.
A metabolic support combination: L-Carnitine facilitates fatty acid transport for energy; alpha lipoic acid is an antioxidant with a role in glucose metabolism; acetylcysteine is a precursor to glutathione, the body's primary antioxidant compound. Members focused on body composition and metabolic health reach for this one.
Athletic Performance
Ingredients: Mineral blend, B complex, vitamin C, calcium, magnesium, L-Arginine.
Built for output. L-Arginine supports nitric oxide production, which contributes to blood vessel dilation and cardiovascular efficiency during exertion. Paired with magnesium for muscle function and B complex for energy metabolism — a strong choice before a race, event, or demanding training block.
Recovery
Ingredients: Mineral blend, B complex, vitamin C, amino acids, glutathione.
Glutathione is an antioxidant compound your body produces naturally and depletes during hard physical effort. This drip delivers it directly alongside amino acids for tissue repair. Members who push hard come back to this one after long races, heavy training weeks, or anything that leaves you running on empty.
Cosmetic
Ingredients: Mineral blend, B complex, vitamin C, amino acids, glutathione, biotin.
The Recovery drip with biotin added — a B-vitamin associated with hair, skin, and nail health. For members who want the antioxidant and recovery foundation with additional nutrient support targeted to skin and hair.
Important: biotin can interfere with certain lab tests, including cardiac troponin assays, producing falsely low results. Tell your physician and the lab before any bloodwork if you've received a biotin-containing infusion.
Rehab
Ingredients: 1000ml normal saline, B complex, B12, plus clinically ordered prescription support (ondansetron for nausea, ketorolac for inflammation).
The drip for when you're genuinely miserable — severe nausea, migraine, or post-illness depletion. Prescription components require clinical authorization during intake; your nurse confirms eligibility before proceeding. Not available as a routine add-on. For patients who need it, it's the fastest path from feeling terrible to functional.
Aches & Pains
Ingredients: Mineral blend, B complex, vitamin C, calcium, magnesium, B12, glutathione, L-Proline.
The most comprehensive formulation on the menu. L-Proline plays a role in collagen synthesis — relevant for muscle, tendon, and connective tissue recovery. Paired with magnesium, vitamin C, and glutathione, this is built for members dealing with soreness, joint discomfort, or recovery from injury and heavy training.
Ready, Set, Go!
Ingredients: L-Proline, folic acid, B12, L-Arginine, taurine, L-Carnitine, B complex.
A targeted energy and performance combination: taurine for muscle and cardiovascular function; L-Arginine for blood flow; L-Carnitine for fat-as-fuel metabolism; folic acid and B12 for cellular energy and neurological function. Members who want a performance-forward drip without the full Athletic Performance profile often land here.
Brainstorm
Ingredients: Alpha lipoic acid, taurine, folic acid, B12.
A focused cognitive support combination. Folic acid and B12 are essential to normal neurological function; alpha lipoic acid crosses the blood-brain barrier and acts as an antioxidant in neural tissue; taurine has emerging research behind its role in brain health. For members who notice mental fatigue or want cognitive support as part of their regular wellness routine.
NAD+
Infusion options: 50mg to 500mg, depending on protocol.
Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide — a coenzyme central to cellular energy metabolism and one of the most actively researched compounds in longevity and metabolic health. Sessions run longer than standard drips — often a few hours for higher doses, because the rate must be kept slow. Members who've added NAD+ to their rotation describe a different quality of energy: sustained, cognitive, longer-lasting.
Note: we verify sourcing and compounding status with our pharmacy before each protocol. Some patients experience temporary chest tightness or nausea if infused too fast — your nurse keeps the pace conservative and adjusts throughout.
High-Dose Vitamin C
Available as an add-on: 10g to 100g IV ascorbic acid.
Vitamin C at IV doses reaches blood concentrations that oral supplementation cannot approach. Popular with members managing heavy oxidative load from training, illness, or demanding periods. G6PD deficiency screening is required before any high-dose protocol; kidney function should be discussed for doses above 10g.
MSC Exosomes
A different category from our IV vitamin and hydration menu — regenerative therapy using extracellular vesicles derived from umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells. Our most advanced offering, at a different price point and commitment level. Ask whether it makes sense for your situation; we'll give you the direct version of what the current research supports and whether you're a candidate.
Monthly Special
We run IV Happy Hour every Wednesday from 2–5pm, offering member pricing on any 500ml bag — a great time to try something new. We also feature a Monthly Special at a reduced rate. Ask when you book or follow us to see the current featured drip.
The Renew monthly membership

The members who get the most out of IV therapy aren't the ones who come in once. They're the ones who make it part of their routine — the same way they approach training, nutrition, and sleep.
Our monthly membership is built for that. One infusion per month at a member rate, with the option to add on or upgrade when you need it. For people who are already health-focused, it's the piece that helps everything else work better — consistent hydration, consistent micronutrient support, and a built-in monthly moment to reset.
Members tell us the math works out quickly. The per-session cost is lower. The cumulative benefit compounds. And showing up for a drip you've already committed to feels different than booking one reactively after you're already depleted.
If you're considering IV therapy as a regular part of your wellness routine — not just a one-time experience — the membership is the way to do it. Ask us about current member options when you book.
What to expect at your appointment

The appointment starts before the IV goes in.
Every patient completes a health-history screening before any catheter is placed. That intake covers the conditions that matter: kidney function, heart conditions, pregnancy, allergies, current medications, recent bloodwork, and anything that could affect how your body responds to a specific infusion. Your nurse reviews that information before proceeding.
Infusions at Renew Aesthetics and IV Hydration Bar are administered by registered nurses with backgrounds in wellness and emergency medicine — not technicians or medical assistants. They've managed IV therapy in demanding acute settings, which means they bring clinical judgment to every session: knowing how to pace your infusion, what to watch for, when to adjust, and when to refer. There's no physician on-site, and we won't imply there is. What you get is experienced, licensed nursing care from a team that knows what they're doing.
The placement itself is quick — a small catheter in the forearm or the back of the hand, comparable to a blood draw. Most people barely notice it after the first minute. During infusion, your arm may feel cool. B vitamins and magnesium can produce a harmless warm or metallic taste. If anything feels off, tell your nurse and she'll adjust the rate.
Most sessions run 30 to 60 minutes. NAD+ runs longer. Bring something to read or just relax — people find it a surprisingly pleasant hour.
Things to tell us before your first session
IV therapy is well tolerated by most healthy adults. A few situations call for a conversation with us before we proceed:
- Kidney disease or reduced kidney function
- Heart failure or any condition where fluid volume is a concern
- G6PD deficiency (relevant to high-dose vitamin C)
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Uncontrolled hypertension
- Active cancer or a hormone-sensitive diagnosis
- Blood clotting or bleeding disorders
- Allergies to any infusion component or preservatives
- Current diuretics or medications affected by fluid shifts
- Scheduled lab work — especially if the drip contains biotin (see Cosmetic and B-complex notes above)
- Symptoms you're not sure about — if something feels like it needs to be diagnosed rather than hydrated, we'll tell you that
Our nurses are trained to recognize when a drip isn't the right answer, and we'll say so. That's part of what makes the intake worth doing.
Cost, timing, and how often
We don't publish prices in an evergreen article, because they change. What drives cost: the specific drip, session length, and whether you're a member or a first-time visitor. NAD+ sessions are the highest investment — they're also the longest. Insurance does not cover wellness infusions. HSA/FSA coverage depends on your specific plan — check with your administrator.
On frequency: our monthly members get the best results. Most people who commit to a monthly infusion notice the difference by the second or third session — the cumulative hydration and micronutrient support builds. Acute situations — illness, recovery from a race, a rough week — can warrant an extra session. We'll help you figure out what makes sense for you.
Frequently asked questions
Does IV therapy actually work?
For our members, consistently yes — more energy, faster recovery, better hydration. Clinical research on wellness IV therapy is developing, not complete, and individual results vary. What we can tell you is what our patients report: they feel better, and they come back. We present that honestly rather than overstating what the trials show.
Who is IV therapy best suited for?
Health-conscious people who want more from their wellness routine. Athletes and active people who push their bodies regularly. Anyone recovering from illness or a demanding stretch who wants to accelerate the process. And people who've tried IV therapy once and want the consistent version of that lift.
How long does a session take?
Most infusions run 30 to 60 minutes once the line is in. NAD+ takes longer — often a few hours, because the rate is kept slow. Plan a bit of buffer on either side for intake and aftercare, which is minimal.
Is IV therapy safe?
Yes, for most healthy adults — especially when you're properly screened and the product is sterile and correctly sourced. Common side effects are minor: brief bruising, mild vein sensitivity, a cool arm during infusion. We use single-use supplies, source from licensed compounding pharmacies, and our nurses are trained in IV administration from clinical backgrounds. We take the safety questions seriously so you don't have to worry about them.
Is the monthly membership worth it?
For regular patients, consistently yes. The per-session cost is lower, the benefit compounds over time, and the discipline of a monthly commitment means you're not showing up only when you're already depleted. Members who stick with it past the first few months are our most loyal patients — because it works differently at that frequency than it does as a one-time experience.
Will IV therapy interact with my medications or lab work?
Certain interactions are worth knowing. Biotin — found in B-complex and Cosmetic infusions — can interfere with some lab tests, including cardiac troponin tests, producing falsely low results. Tell your physician and the lab if you've had a biotin-containing infusion before any bloodwork. If you're on medications that affect fluid balance or electrolytes, mention them during intake and we'll factor that in.
Who administers the infusion?
A registered nurse with a clinical background in hospital, emergency, or pediatric care. Your nurse reviews your intake before the line goes in, paces the infusion appropriately, monitors you throughout, and adjusts as needed. We don't use medical assistants or IV technicians for infusion administration.
The bottom line

IV therapy works best for people who are already paying attention to their health — and who want a reliable way to stay at their best. The members who get the most out of it aren't looking for a shortcut. They're active, health-conscious people who've found that a monthly infusion is the piece that helps everything else work better.
If you're ready to try it — or if you've tried it once and want to make it a habit — book your first session at our Coeur d'Alene clinic or call us at (208) 930-6823. We'll walk you through the options, match you to the right drip, and tell you honestly if the membership makes sense for where you are.
We see patients from across the Coeur d'Alene area, including Post Falls, Hayden, Rathdrum, Sandpoint, and the greater Spokane region.
